Determine which option will work best for your location from the following:

Install with existing 2 holes, with 2 additional new holes

  • Remove the rod from the existing bracket by removing the two top and bottom rod mounting screws.
  • Remove existing bracket and inspect both holes to determine if they can be reused.
  • If so, proceed with installation of new 4 wall anchors. 1/4” holes are required. Replace rod and reinstall top and bottom screws.
 

Install re-using existing holes

  • Remove the rod from the existing bracket by removing the two top and bottom mounting screws.
  • Remove the old bracket.
  • If holes are too big or damaged, install the old bracket to the Slick bracket with the 2 supplied 10/32 flathead bolts and nuts.
  • Mark and install new wall anchors, top and bottom remount with #10 pan head screws.
  • Replace rod and reinstall top and bottom rod screws.

 

 

Install in a low ceiling soffit

  • Remove the rod from the existing bracket by removing the two top and bottom rod mounting screws.
  • Remove the old bracket.
  • Install old bracket as shown, to new bracket using one of the above options.

 

 

Install in a low shower surround

  • Remove the rod from the existing bracket by removing the two top and bottom rod mounting screws.
  • Remove old bracket.
  • Install old bracket as shown using one of the above options.

 

 

Install in a new location

  • Remove the rod from the existing bracket by removing the two top and bottom rod mounting screws.
  • Remove old bracket.
  • Mount the new and old bracket together using the four #10 screws provided.
  • Select a new location, move bracket to cover the existing holes.
  • Use the flat head through the old and new bracket and pan head screws in remaining 2 exposed locations.
  • Replace rod and reinstall top and bottom screws.
